About Garden Planner
Design your garden to scale in 2D and walk around it in 3D.
What it is
Garden Planner is a free tool for drawing a garden to scale: walls, fences, lawns, paving, beds, decks, trees, furniture and more than 60 other objects. Switch to 3D to walk around it with the sun and shadows at any time of day, then print it or export it as an image.
It works in any modern browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. There’s no account to create, no ads and nothing to install.

Garden Planner doesn’t ask who you are, sets no cookies and has no accounts.
Your plans
- Plans stay on your device. They are saved in your browser’s own storage (local storage) and never uploaded. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so use Export → Plan file to keep a backup.
- Plan links carry the plan inside the link, after the
#. Browsers never send that part to a server, so a shared plan travels only between you and the person you send it to. Background images you trace over are not included in links. - Pieces from Woodworker arrive the same way, inside the link, and are kept in your browser.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). As with any website, when your browser loads the page, Cloudflare’s servers receive technical details of the request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page asked for, so they can deliver it and protect the site against attacks. This is needed to run the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Visitor statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and gives rough figures such as country, browser and the page that linked here. It uses no cookies, doesn’t follow you across other websites and doesn’t record anything you do inside the app.
Links to other services
The Support button opens Ko-fi, a separate service with its own privacy policy. Nothing is sent to Ko-fi unless you click it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data about you is held, and have it corrected or deleted, and you can complain to a data protection authority. Since Garden Planner itself stores nothing about you, there is usually nothing to hand over, but get in touch (see Contact) if you have questions.
Use and liability
Garden Planner is free to use. It is offered as it is, without any guarantee that it is free of errors or always available, and you use it at your own risk.
Plans drawn in Garden Planner are for planning and ideas. They are not surveyed drawings: check sizes, boundaries, levels and any planning or building rules on site before you build or order materials.

Garden Planner is made by one person, with no ads and no sign-up. If it helped with your project, you can support it with a small tip, which pays for the time that goes into new features.
